Acquired by Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces in January 2007, Taj Boston joins The Pierre in New York and Campton Place in San Francisco as the U.S. members of Taj Hotels' luxury division. The hotel underwent a complete restoration in 2002 to celebrate its 75th anniversary. New services and amenities were added and a prized collection of original art and antiques is now on display throughout the hotel. This luxury hotel features 273 guestrooms, including 45 suites offering wood-burning fireplaces. As a preferred social and business center, Taj Boston is noted for its fine dining in The Cafe, Afternoon Tea in The Lounge and cocktails in The Bar with live music playing, Chanel boutique in the lobby as well as state-of-the-art Cisco TelePresence Room, business and guest services.
